NEW BRAUNFELS — Texas Industries’ (TXI) Hunter Cement plant near New Braunfels is expanding and will hire up to 20 new employees, according to a news release.  

“We are pleased to announce the hiring of additional employees at our Hunter plant,” said Clifton Stapleton, Hunter plant manager. “This area of Texas will benefit from these additional jobs and the much-needed product this plant will soon produce.”

Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce President Michael Meek hailed the project.

“We are thrilled that TXI is able to add much-needed jobs to our economy,” Meek said. “TXI has been a long-standing partner supporting our community for more than 30 years, and we are enthusiastic about their continued growth as well as their contribution to the long-term potential of our region as a whole.”
