Youth Leadership New Braunfels is a program of the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and sponsored by Leadership New Braunfels Alumni Association. The purpose of the Youth Leadership New Braunfels Program is to train students in leadership techniques and community awareness so they will become familiar with current issues, community resources, opportunities and other factors influencing the direction of their community's future. Through their participation in the program, the students will be prepared to make a positive impact on the quality of life in their community.
The sixteenth class of Youth Leadership New Braunfels will graduate on Thursday, April 11 at 6:00 p.m. at SeeKatz Opera House. The program will include a buffet dinner, keynote speaker, a video presentation of the class and awards presentation to class members.
The keynote speaker is Dan Decker, SeaWorld & Aquatica San Antonio Park President. Mr. Decker has served as president since September, 2004. He is responsible for the daily operations of the world’s largest marine life park, as well as strategic planning for the park’s long-term growth. He currently serves on the board or as an executive committee member of the Texas Travel Industry Association, the San Antonio Tourism Council, the San Antonio Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
