According to state tests, students in New Braunfels Independent School District are improving in all subject areas. Preliminary raw scores from the TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) test show a marked improvement in all subject areas for the 2010 results. NBISD students passed the reading and English language arts portion of the TAKS at a 95 percent rate this year, writing at 96 percent, math at 87 percent, science at 88 percent and social studies at a 97 percent rate. continued
