(New Braunfels, TX)  --  Unemployment in New Braunfels took another dip according to the latest data released at the end of last week by the Alamo office of the Texas Workforce Commission.  They show that in March, the unemployment rate here in New Braunfels dropped a tenth of a percent, going from 5.5 to 5.4%.  That follows a gangbusters February report that showed the city’s unemployment rate dropping half a percent when it went from 6 to 5.5%. 

As for Comal County, there was a similar drop in February, and then the jobless rate remained unchanged in the latest report for March, with the county’s unemployment staying at 6.3%.  That still leaves both New Braunfels and Comal County with a lower jobless rate than the overall jobless rate for the 12-county Alamo Area, which was at 6.6% in March.
