ROCKIN
'R' TRIATHLON
The ROCKIN 'R' Triathlon will take place at
8am, May 16, 2009. This Triathlon features a 400 meter swim in the beautiful
Guadalupe River. This will be an out and back swim. After the swim you will
be treated to a 12 mile out and back bike ride that runs along the Guadalupe
river. The run is a circular 3.3 mile route that runs through the quaint
little Community of GRUENE. USAT Sanction pending. Sign up early, on or
before 4-25-09, for race discount and guaranteed Tech-T-shirt. For more

TRAVEL CHANNEL TO VISIT
GRUENE
Plans are underway for
the filming of a pilot series celebrating "honky tonks and joints" to
air on the Travel Channel this Fall and into next Spring. They will be
featuring Gruene Hall as one of
the three pilot shows they are filming. They will include a food segment
featuring the Gristmill River
Restaurant & Bar, but will also highlight the entire culture of the
Gruene area, including shopping
and river activities. Mickey Raphael will host.
