The 10/35 Economic Development Alliance is a partnership between Build New Braunfels, Schertz and Seguin Economic Development Corporations with a primary goal to recruit and retain business and industry within the region. The three cities are known for their growing businesses and industry sectors, primarily due to their strategic locations along the two largest highways in Texas, Interstate 35 and Interstate 10. The Tri-city area has pro-growth communities, offers low taxes and generous incentives. Over 3 million people live within the 50-mile radius of the partnership epicenter, providing a workforce of over 450,000 from both the Austin and San Antonio MSA.

New Braunfels

Home to many world famous tourist attractions including the Natural Bridge Caverns, Wildlife Ranch and the country’s #1 water park, Schlitterbahn. Located on IH-35 in between San Antonio and Austin, New Braunfels is less than 20 minutes from the new Caterpillar Plant in Seguin and less than one hour from the Toyota Assembly Plant. New Braunfels is also home to a diverse business and industry community. Manufacturing, distribution centers, call centers, aerospace and world class telecommunications businesses call New Braunfels home. Two local public education systems are known statewide for their academic excellence, and the addition of the Central Texas Technology Center (CTTC) has given the workforce access to post-secondary education. The municipal airport is capable of handling the largest corporate jets and cargo aircraft, and are within 25 minutes of San Antonio International Airport and 45 minutes from Austin’s Bergstrom Airport. Schertz

is a premier Texas community, located just northeast of San Antonio, nationally recognized for its family atmosphere, foresight and innovation, and commitment to economic prosperity and workforce opportunities. With miles of frontage along two major interstates and as one of the largest cities in the San Antonio MSA, Schertz has witnessed tremendous population and business growth and has looked to capitalize on its unique location and assets. It is a strategic priority of the city to engage in and develop new opportunities of regional partnerships which are mutually beneficial to the residents of Schertz and of neighboring communities. Schertz has a long history of regional partnerships and intergovernmental cooperation, most recently exemplified by its participation in the regional Computer Assisted Dispatch (CAD) project to provide more effective emergency medical services to residents in the tri-county area.

Seguin,  

the county seat of Guadalupe County, is located on the picturesque Guadalupe River and abuts Interstate Highway 10. Nestled 35-minutes east of San Antonio, Seguin is within 20 minutes of IH 35, 30 minutes from San Antonio and 45 minutes from Austin. Upon completion of SH-130, Seguin will be strategically positioned as a crossroad for traffic diverted from Interstate 35 on its way to and from Austin and San Antonio. Seguin has the distinction of having the largest manufacturing jobs per capita in the State of Texas. Seguin’s economy boasts a skilled workforce, established industry, educational institutions and supportive community. For the last 23 years, U.S. News and World Report has recognized Texas Lutheran University (TLU), located in Seguin, as one of the nation’s top ranked best regional comprehensive colleges. The Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) in Seguin has received recognition for the highest ratings in joint replacement and more than 90 percent of patients recommend GRMC for medical care.
