	New Braunfels Civic Center \| Towncenter at Creekside \| Industrial Park \| Leisure Pools \| Office Max

	The New Braunfels Civic and Convention Center is nearing completion of Phase II, with the fountain area, landscaping and overhead addition to the Chamber offices left to be finished. The inside renovations were completed and had its first ballroom user - the Eden Home Champagne Gala. The completion of the project is expected in late May, just in time for the dedication set for May 28th.

	Super Target at Towncenter Taking Shape - The first store to open at Creekside will be a Super Target, on schedule to open July 2008 and will be the first store of many to call Creekside home. According to the developer, NewQuest, many prospective tenants have agreed to locate at Creekside. There are several center sites that still require more negotiations before a lease is signed. Chamber staff will be attending the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) trade show May 17-20, in Las Vegas. NewQuest will host Chamber staff in their booth and provide meeting location and times with prospective clients and tenants. The Chamber staff will also make calls on other retail prospects at the show.

	New Buildings Going Up in Longhorn Industrial Park - John McCrocklin and Roger Hopkins have partnered to build 50,000 sq. ft. of warehouse /distribution and manufacturing space in the Longhorn Industrial Park on FM 306. One building has 14,000 sq. ft. of condo space. Each space has 1,500 sq. ft. that includes an office, restroom, and large work area with overhead door. The large space shown with steel structure being erected totals 36,000 sq. ft. More than 15,000 sq. ft. of this high ceiling space has been leased. The condo space building is 90% leased at time of this newsletter. Both buildings are equipped with 3 phase electric and a class A fire suppression system.

	Leisure Pools Close to Swimming in NB - Leisure Pools, an Australian swimming pool manufacturing company, gets closer each day to making their home in New Braunfels a reality. The manufacturing and office facility shown above is making progress toward completion and the show area in front of the building has its foundation. The plant located on IH 35 next door to Mid-Tex Oil will open in Fall 2008. Leisure Pools i and is positioning itself to become the largest fiberglass, in-ground pool manufacturer in the world with its new facility in New Braunfels

	Interstate Plaza To Be Home to Office Max - Office Max, is set to open their new store in New Braunfels next to Lowe's in late summer 2008. The first major retailer to open in this center next to Lowe's, Office Max will bring a new dimension to the office supply business for New Braunfels.
