The San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area posted another major month for job gains and a reduced unemployment rate, according to labor market figures released by Workforce Solutions Alamo.

The metro area added 9,100 jobs during the month of March and 11,000 jobs over the past 12 months for an annual growth rate of 1.3 percent. The unemployment rate dropped to 6.6 percent in March, down from 6.8 percent in February. This is the third-straight month that the unemployment rate has fallen.
