Founders Oak - Famous Tree of Texas |

The Texas Forest Service has designated Founders Oak in Landa Park as a "Famous Tree of Texas." Its one of the parks oldest trees dating back to the 1700s. The New Braunfels icon got its name because the founders of the city once sat under its branches. The prestigious award memorializes trees that were around during historic events in texas history.
