BRAUNFELS FOUNDATION HONORS MIDDLE SCHOOLERS

The Braunfels Foundation Trust presents awards each year to 7^th and 8^th grade middle schools in the Comal and New Braunfels ISDs. Funding in part is through the Harry and Christine Dierks Memorial Fund. Full Article

This month has been busy in New Braunfels. The Chamber's CVB to hosted a feature editor from American Profile. American Profile runs in newspapers across the country usually on Sunday as an insert. Full Article

NEW BRAUNFELS 4B BOARD WINS EXCELLENCE AWARD

The New Braunfels Industrial Development Corporation (4B Board) recently received an Economic Excellence Award from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) as recognition for its role in economic development during 2008. Full Article

BUSINESSES CELEBRATE GRAND OPENINGS

WILSON HONORED WITH CHAIR OF THE BOARD AWARD

Chamber Chair of the Board Marian Benson is shown bestowing a Chair of the Board Award in the field of youth development to Jean Wilson. Wilson has been on the Communities in Schools board for a decade. Full Article

CONGRESSMAN SMITH TO HOST JUNE 1 SEMINAR

Congressman Lamar Smith will host a workshop/seminar on Monday, June 1 at the Northeast Lakeview College campus in nearby Universal City. The topic is how small businesses can access government contracts and other capital. Full Article

LOCAL BUSINESS VOTED "BEST IN TEXAS"
Texas Travel Counselors have voted five businesses "Best in Texas" during their recent trip through Central Texas. The tour passed 14 cities in the Texas Hill Country. Full Article
