Rockin ‘R’ was opened in May, 1979, by two brothers with 50 innertubes and 2 trucks across the Guadalupe River from Gruene. In the beginning it was only open on weekends, but now is a year round business, with 150 employees in the summer peak season. Their main focus is rafting trips on the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. They also rent toobs with or without bottom, rafts, inflatable kayaks and canoes, hard canoes and ocean kayaks. They can supply you with a wilderness camping experience at one of their campgrounds; they have RV hookups sites, screened shelters, and tents to rent with all the necessary equipment. They also offer all day river outing for groups which include rafting in the morning, lunch on the banks of the river and a lazy float on the river in the afternoon.

Continuos shuttle service is offered from Canyon Lake to New Braunfels, so the customer can begin and end his trip when he wants to.

Camp Huaco Springs on the scenic Guadalupe River is a short drive up the river from Gruene, and Double Rockin ‘R’ Campground is located down river. If you don’t like camping, kitchenette cabins with A/C and heat, private porches and barbecue pits are available up river from Camp Huaco Springs. A camp store is open daily during the season.

The Rockin ‘R’ is family owned and operated. Safety to customers and employees is their first concern. Customers are encouraged to wear life jackets and observe rules of safety and courtesy at all times.
