The Wurstfest Art show began in 1964 when it was suggested that the local artist display their art in a family oriented show. The show was well received, and the tradition began which now holds workshops and classes in conjunction with the show.

After many years of being held in various buildings around town, it is now at home in the New Braunfels Art League Gallery at 239 W. San Antonio St.
